In the framework of the European School of Antennas, the course “Short range radio propagation: theory, models and future applications” will be held from 26 to 30 September 2016 at the University of Bologna, Italy. The course will take place at the university campus located in Cesena, at nearly 15 km from the Adriatic Sea.
The lecturers are from University of Bologna (IT), Technische Universität Braunschweig (GE), Dublin City University (IR), Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (GE), Université Catholique de Louvain (BE) and Polaris Wireless (CA, USA).
The course covers propagation theory – with a special focus on Ray Tracing and full wave modelling, channel characterization for medium/short range wireless systems and services, including millimeter wave and Terahertz radio propagation for 5G, as well as aspects related to MIMO and UWB technologies for wireless body area networks, medical and short range radar applications.
