The Electronic Measurement Research Lab of Technische Universität Ilmenau (Ilmenau University of Technology, Germany) invites for applications.

The project is already granted by German Science Foundation (Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft, DFG).

Starting date is flexible. Duration is limited to 3 years. The position is fully payed according to German Federal States tariff (TV-L) according to group E13.

We are looking for candidates with MSc degree in electrical engineering or similar (including physics). Willingness to work for obtaining the doctoral degree (Dr.-Ing.) is highly appreciated and will be supported.

The research goal is multidimensional high-resolution parameter estimation for a binocular MIMO radar at 160 GHz. The hardware will be available from cooperation with another German University.

We expect candidates with basic knowledge in high-resolution ML and Bayesian parameter estimation. The candidate should have strong analytical and programming skills and advanced background in radio wave propagation and signal processing. Some hands-on experience in millimeter wave measurements would be welcome.

We expect excellent oral/written communication in English. We do not require a German language test degree. However, some knowledge of German would be preferable.
