ISWCS 2017 – 14th International Symposium on Wireless Communication Systems
CALL FOR SPECIAL SESSIONS and CALL FOR WORKSHOPS
August 28-31, 2017, Bologna, Italy
Submission: March 3, 2017
The aim of this symposium is to provide a forum for researchers and technologists to present new ideas and contributions in the form of technical papers, panel discussions, as well as real-world evaluation in the field of wireless communications, networking and signal processing. This 14th symposium will bring together various wireless communication systems developers to discuss the current status, technical challenges, standards, fundamental issues, and future services and applications.
Proposals for Special Sessions and Workshops are invited in the following Tracks:
Track1 – Communication Theory, Signal Processing, Information Theory, Antennas and Propagation
Track2 – Networks, Protocols, Internet of Things, Services and Applications
** Special Sessions **
ISWCS2017-SpecialSessions may include an invited speaker, besides papers that will be selected according to an open call.
Papers submitted to Special Sessions will be reviewed by at least three reviewers under the coordination of the Special Sessions organisers. These papers will be part of the Conference Proceedings. According to decision of the proponent(s), papers will be uploaded to IEEE Xplore (technical sponsorship still pending) or not.
Special Sessions extend for a conference time-slot, i.e., approximately 1h40. Each presentation should be given a minimum time of 20 minutes. Special Sessions will be held in parallel with regular sessions.
** Workshops **
ISWCS2017-Workshops may include invited speakers, papers, and panels. The structure of workshops is not fixed, and proponents may design it as they think best. In all cases, part of the workshop should be open to submissions through an open call. Workshop papers should be reviewed by the Workshop Technical Programme Committee. These papers will be part of the Conference Proceedings (if the authors wish to do so), but they will not be uploaded to IEEE Xplore.
Workshops may extend for either a full- or a half-day. They will be held on the first day of the symposium, i.e., August 28th, 2017.
