ICTEAMThe ICTEAM Institute of the Université catholique de Louvain (Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium), internationally known for its expertise in telecommunications, is currently offering a PhD research position in the field of wireless channel modeling for heterogeneous networks, with a particular focus on experimental characterization. The initial grant will be established for a duration of 1 year, to be extended for 3 more years upon mutual agreement. The planned starting date is Sep 1st, 2017.

The applicant should have experience in radio channel characterization, telecommunications and/or signal processing. He/she will join the research team in telecommunications of UCL-ICTEAM. The research will be oriented towards publications in international journals and integrated within international collaborations via a national project funding the grant, as well as via European COST Actions. Access to extensive measurement facilities is provided (several network analyzers, two channel sounders and anechoic chamber).

The candidate should hold an Electrical Engineering degree at Master level, should be motivated for in-depth work at both theoretical and applications levels and be fluent in both oral and written English. Willingness to learn French at conversational level within one year will be appreciated.
