Dear colleagues,
as you surely know PIMRC 2018 will be hosted in Bologna next September. In its framework, my colleagues of FUB will organise a Special Session on Electromagnetic Exposure in 5G Networks.

As the next generation of mobile communications technologies is being developed, regulators are once again faced with new challenges posed by the innovative 5G radio access networks, including EMF exposure and the related health effects. The Special Session will be focussed on technical and regulatory innovative topics on 5G electromagnetic exposures and will address existing EMF exposure models to invite enhancements for their application to 5G networks, as well as explore necessary improvements to the exposure measurement methodology towards timely 5G deployments.

This topic requires consideration and attention from the research and industrial communities, because a wrong approach to it could jeopardise timely roll-out of new networks and services.

Therefore, if you have some cutting edge research results to share with the international research community, you may want to consider presenting it at this special sessionRelevant information HERE.

Bologna offers an old city centre with its enchanting middle-ages atmosphere, the oldest university in the Western world, a bent for good food and pleasant life and in September you may expect comfortably warm but not sultry weather. All this comes as a bonus included in the subscription package! So, what are you waiting for?
